I am having an issue retrieving (deserializing) the _custom_meta from the database (I am using WPALCHEMY_MODE_ARRAY). It would seem that cutting and pasting from a PDF or Word document on a Mac created this problem, and now the serialization character count is most definitely messed up for one of the key value pairs. As a result, none of the meta data will retrieve for the post. Do you know of any solutions? I am aware now of WPALCHEMY_MODE_EXTRACT (so that only part of the record’s data would disappear if the serialization causes character count issues), but that would cause headaches on our end as we are migrating this data to SQL Server for API consumption, and already have a finished data mapping process in place. I have also read that PHP base64_encode could work when used with serialize and deserialize, but have yet to try that.
